It was revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct presentation that the long rumored Nintendo 3DS XL is a reality. Nintendo 3DS XL will be available at a price of $199.99, and will hit shelves in North America August 19, 2012, and in Europe and Japan July 28, 2012.
The top screen is 90% larger than the original 3DS screen, but the resolution will not change. The top screen is 4.88 inches, and the bottom screen is 4.18 inches.
Nintendo 3DS XL battery life will be between 3.5 – 6.5 hours when playing 3DS games, and 6 – 10 hours when playing DS games. It will take around 210 minutes to charge.
